Amuse Classic Jersey Palette otw fail!
Ok... so I was supposed to use this Amuse Jersey, Classic Jersey palette for the entire week to let you guys know how well it performed in different situations. BUT... I could only get myself to use it for two days before I had to run run run to my nearest high end palette and give it a big hug screaming "Don't you ever leave me!"
This palette was a complete fail for me. Here is why.
I did have a feeling that this could either be super nice or super wrong for me when I initially swatched it. The swatches turned out really nice, just a little "gritty" but nicely pigmented.
Application was a mess, fallout all over the place. Wich I could have avoided, I know, but the products seemed so creamy, so I did not even think about it.
The shadows went on a little too shimmery for my taste, and I don't mind shimmer, and it's not like they are super glittery or even sparkly. But the texture seemed a little gritty/grainy therefor the shimmer seemed more obvious.
It did not blend that well and I felt like a streaky disco ball sitting at my desk at work, hoping nobody would notice LOL.
The colours are nice and true and the pigmentation is good. But I just can't stand the texture, and these did fade and crease on me a little too fast for my liking.
I am not saying that these are terrible shadows, they just did not appeal to me, and I will not be repurchasing these.
Starting tomorrow I will be trying out another Amuse palette for the week. I am already a little scared about how well that will go. Fingers crossed.

How to make your lipstick stay on longer.
As requested, here is a post on how to prolong the wear time of your lipstick.
First it is important to know that there are tonnes of different formulas of lipstick out there. So choosing the right formula will get you a long way. When choosing a lipstick - with staying power in mind - I tend to go for matte lipsticks or lipsticks that are a little more dry. I feel that very creamy, almost buttery lipstick tend to wear off faster on me.
So choosing the right formular does mean something for the staying power.
But on to the tips.
- Go for a waxy lipstick rather than an "oily" lipstick
- Line your lips with a lipliner and fill them in before applying the lipstick. This will make it last a bit longer and make it wear off more evenly.
- Highly pigmented lipstick tend to last longer, so go for bright or deep shades.
- After applying lipstick you can also set it with a powder, be careful though you only need a tiny bit.
- You can also prime the lips by applying a bit of foundation to them before lipstick application.
- Another method is to apply a layer of lipstick, blot the lips and apply another coat.
I know that several brands make lip primers and lipstick sealers, but I have never tried any so I can't really say wether or not these actually work.
I hope you guys found this helpful

Favorite affordable neutral eyeshadows
This was a request from KlayerD, she wanted to see a post on the best neutral eyeshadows under £$10. So I have been going through my collection to make sure I include every singlefavorite eyeshadow I own.
Wet N Wild: (I paid $10)The eyeshadow is really affordable yet pigmented and quite easy to work with. I would suggest the Color icon palette called "comfor zone" I can also recommend the trios called "knock on wood" nd "silent treatment"
NYX: (Costs around $8) The 10 color eyeshadow palette in " champagne & caviar) is a great palette with some nice cool toned neutrals. You get a good selection of mattes and satins and the quality is quite good.
LA Colors: (around $5) I love the LA colors Eye design palettes and even though this palette is not all neutrals you do get 10 neutral shades 5 greens and some greys, a white and a black. I love the finish of these shadows and they stay on quite well. great quality.
Are you guys interested in seeing my favorite high end neutrals as well?

LA Colors Glossy lips lipgloss
I bought this in my rescent Cherry Culture haul. Along with some other purple lippies. I have really been liking the LA Colors eyeshadow palettes so I wanted to see what else the brand had to offer.
Price: $2 at CherryCulture.com
Packaging: Nice simple squeeze tube with brush applicator. the brush applicator does seem a little flimsy. You get 15 ml. of product.
I have to say I don't like this gloss one bit. The colour is lovely the "green apple" scent is nice but the texture is awfull. It does feel moisturizing and good on the lips BUT... It is sooo tacky that every time I close and open my mouth STRINGS of gloss becomes visible... In order for the gloss not to do that you will have to only apply a tiny tiny bit, but then the shine and colour won't show up..
Looks more purple and blue toned irl.
I will not be trying out more of these glosses... Have any of you guys tried them? did I just get a bad one or are they all like this?

Jordana Lip out loud gloss review
I purchased this gloss in my recent Cherry Culture haul. I wanted to try out some more purple and hot pink lippies and this looked like it would suit my new found craving for bright spring lips.
I got the shade called VIP it's a sheer magenta with blue sparkle.
Price: $1,99 from Cherry Culture.
Packaging: The packaging actually looks quite nice for such an affordable product. It has quite a long doe foot applicator wich may or may not make application easier for you. I had to get used to it. I am certain that the lettering on the packaging will wear off evetually but I have had no malfunctions with the packaging itself.
Scent: It has a fruity scent to it, reminds me of melons. The scent does wear off and it is not too overpowering for me.
This gloss is a little sticky, not too much though. I do like stickier glosses and I havetried way more stickier glosses than this. But keep in mind that it is slightly sticky, if that's not your thing then you may not like it.
It does feel really nice and moisturising on my lips, wich is always a plus for me.
It does not last that long but I don't mind reapplying it.
I feel like I would probably use this up quite fast, not only because I like it, but because there does not seem to be that much product in the tube. But for the price of this gloss I can live with it being used up quite fast.
This is overall a nice gloss, I like the blue sparkle and I like the texture of it and I will certainly try another shade of this gloss next time I do a haul from Cherry Culture.

LA Colors Star Gaze palette otw
If you have been reading my blog, you will probably know that I am looooving the LA colors "eye design" palettes. I have previously written about my other LA colors star gaze palette called "makeout" and decided to try this palette. It is called "admire"
Price: 4$ or about 24 DKK on Cherry Culture. I must have gotten my other one on sale because I only payed 3,50 for that.
Packaging: Actually looks OK for the price. It's easy to open and close the palette, wich is not the case with all cheap palettes. There is nothing outstanding about the packagin but I did not expect amazing packaging for 4$.
My two scents: For some reason I am not loving this as much as I love the Eye design palettes. I think these are a little softer and a little more powdery. These shadows are not bad at all, I do enjoy them, however I feel like
the stargaze palettes are not as great as the Eye Design palettes. The
colour selection seems a little random and this palette just does not
have everything I need for a complete eye look. I do like to combine them with other shadows though
On the go: I found these a little harder to blend than my other LA Colors palettes. I had a bit of a hard time coming up with looks for this palette. I am lacking a good all over lid shade to complete the look.
Evening out: Works better for night time looks for me. You can defiantely create some pretty purple eyes, and the 2nd colour on top is such a cute iridescent highlighter.
Variation: You do get a lot of different purlpes but I just don't feel inspired by the layout of this palette. You only get one somewhat matte shade, the rest is satin finish. I had a hard time coming up with looks.
Swatched without a base or a primer!
Staying power: I can't complain about staying power, these last me a good 8-10 hours. They do fade a bit during the day but they don't crease on me.
Work appropriate: Probably one of my less, work appropriate palettes. I did manage to use it every day without looking like a rainbow but I would have liked a neutral all over lid shade to complement the purples.
Would I recommend this palette? Well it depends on what you are looking for. But in my opinion you would be better off trying the Eye Design palettes instead

Products I regret buying
From time to time I stumble upon a few bad products on my never ending quest for makeup. Some products may not be bad products, but they were not what I expected or did not fall to my liking. Here are a few products that I do not like.

Amuse long lasting magic lip gloss:
The packaging is super cute! and the colour looks super nice in the tube. But it goes on oily and it changes colour on my lips. So I guess it is called magic because it changes colour. The colour is not bad, just not what I wanted and I don't like how runny and oily this gloss feels on my lips.
Swatch of Amuse lip gloss
Milani lipstick in sugar rim:
This lipstick is such a cute shade, but it smells like old grandma, and it has straight up chunky gritty bits of glitter in it. Not what I was going for.
Swatch of Milani lippie in sugar rim
These are the products I am not liking at the moment, I do have some new products I am still testing out, but I have a hunch that I will be adding another post like this within the next few weeks.
Have any of you tried these products? if so, what did you guys think?

Tiny Body Shop haul
I felt like shopping yesterday, and I had some money left on a Body Shop gift card from christmas. So I went to my local TBS to see if I could find any goodies.
I bought the Hemp hand cream, wich I have never tried before. Looking forward to trying it out. As far as I remember it has won a Danish beauty award. So seeing as I am really taking a liking to hand creams I thought I should try this out.
Then I bought the Extra Virgin Minerals powder foundation. I have already tried the cream foundation and I love it. My skin is just a little too oily at the moment so I thought a powder would be better.
I got the Brazil nut body scrub for free. It smells sooo yummy I almost
want to eat it! I will resist putting it in my mouth and try it on my
legs when I shower tonight,
I also bought a new item called beautifying oil, I chose
the Satsuma scent because it reminds me of summer. These oils are
scented like some of the body butters so you can match them. They are
supposed to be for face, body and hair. Can't wait to try it out.
I can't wait to try these things out a bit. Watch out for reviews in a few weeks time.

Amuse Classic Jersey palette initial thoughts
I have not used this enough to give a full review of it yet so here are my initial thoughts of this little paltte.
I am really impressed with the pigmentation of these shadows. I thought the red shade would be more red and the yellow more golden but the skin tone shade is spot on! Also the black seems really nice.
The shades seem quite creamy, I don't know if that is a good or a bad thing yet.
Overall I am pleasantly surprised and I can't wait to try it out properly.

Coastal Scents Pressed powder foundation!
Coastal Scents have just launched these pressed powder foundations retailing for only $4,95!
I have no idea if they are any good but I am curious to find out. I have not bought anything from coastal scents for a while now because I think their international shipping can be quite pricey. But I now have a few items I would like to try, so maybe I should do a mini haul.
Will you guys be trying this?

Dupe alert! Revlon VS MAC
So.. I have been using Revlon lip butters and MAC Sheen supreme lipstick for a bit now and they are both some of my favorite lippies at the moment.
I have to say that I find the two lippies to be quite similar...
Scent: They both smell the same, but the scent of the lip butters is not as strong than the MAC lippie.
Quality: These feel exactly the same on my lips. If it was not for the packaging and the difference in shades I would not know wich was wich.
Both MAC and Revlon have some beautiful shades and I don't know if any of the shades are complarable to eachother but the quality, staying power, scent and feel of these are sooo much alike.
I can get 2½ Revlon lip butters for one MAC sheen supreme's price, so I know wich one I prefer. I do still love both of the products and will most likely buy more shades of each product.
Have you guys tried both lippies? what do you think?

MAC Sheen Supreme lipstick review
One of the things on my list of new years resolutions was to buy my very first MAC lipstick. I was originally going for one of the viva glam lipsticks but when I saw the fesh juicy Sheen Supreme lipsticks I knew I had to have one.
I bought the shade called Asian Flower, a creamy lavendar with some pinkness to it.
Price: DKK 160,- or about $26 in Magasin in Copenhagen.
Packaging: Nice sleek and slimmer than your regular lipstick. The container seems really sturdy. Good quality indeed, no complaints here.
This has a nice sugary vanilla frosting scent... yummy.
It is not all that moisturizing but it's not drying either.
I am really impressed with the staying power of these, they last really well. Although this particular shade seems to change a bit as it wears off. When you first apply it the shade is a creamy lavendar. But at it wears off the shades turns more and more pink instead of purple, it is a lovely pink although. So it is almost like it stains my lips a bit.
I am really liking this lipstick and it seems like I will go through it quite fast, as I like to use this for everyday wear. I certainly want to try some more colours. However this is quite expensive.

LA Colors Eye "design" palette otw
I have been talking a lot about my amazing LA Colors eye design "invent" palette. These palettes come in 2 different colour combos. And now I finally have them both. This palette is called "design"
Price: 5$ or about 26 DKK or 3,11£ on Cherry Culture.
Packaging: it's the kind of cheap plastic you could expect from
such an affordable product. it is however easier to open than most cheap
palettes. You get 30 eyeshadows wich in total gives you a whopping 45
grams of product. Amazing.
My two scents: I love love LOVE this palette. I love how it is kinda grouped into 6 squares with 5 color coordinated eyeshadows.
On the go: As with the other LA Colors palette these shadows are super easy to blend and super easy to apply. It takes me no time to do a great eye look.
Evening out: Super great for creating beautiful night time looks. It even has a great matte blavk!
Variation: You almost can't ask for more variation from a palette. Maybe some more matte shades and a white that is not too shimmery. Yoy can do several looks with each little colour group so the possibilities are almost endless.
Swatched without a base or a primer!
Staying power: It actually stays
on quite well, considering the price of the palette. This would last me
almost 8 hours without a primer and all day and night with a primer. I
did not see any creasing but I did notice that the brighter colours
seemed to fade out a bit by the end of the day. These are also fantastic
with a bit of cream eyeshadow underneath.
Work appropriate: There is a little bit for every occasion in this palette and 2 of the colour groups are on the neutral side so these can defiantely be office friendly.
I had high expectations for this palette and it did not dissapoint! I am very very pleased with this.
I would love to hear what you guys think of this palette, have you tried it? would you consider trying it? let me know.
