I have been struggling with blogger lately. For some reason I cannot get my "followes" widget thingy to show up anymore.
I know that a lot of Danes have had this problem for about a month now, but it is soo frustrating and quite annoying.
So I just want to hear from you guys if you have had a similar problem. As it is right now, it looks like no one can follow my blog.
I really really hope this can be sorted soon, but I can't seem to figure out how to sort it.

June favorites
I am sorry for not posting more these last couple of weeks. I have been working 11-12 hour days so I have been super tired. But I have one week of summer vacation coming up and I plan to do a lot of posts then. I'm sad to see one of my followers leave, but at the same time I understand the importance of posting regulaly. I will be back strong, very soon.
I thought I would be a little ahead of time for once and do my june favorites now.
Skinfood peach sake pore BB:
This is kinda growing on me, I have noticed quite an improvement in my skin lately. Although I am not sure that this BB cream is the reason for my skin improving I really really like this.
ELF Golden bronzer:
A recent rediscovery. I love this multi purpose product. It has really helped on my very busy mornings that I have been having a lot of lately and I find this to last all day on the face and the eyes, even without a primer.
The Body Shop shimmer cubes Lilly Cole edition:
These colours are so pretty and they suit me so well and really makes my eyes pop. I am absolutely in love with these!
Sephora Flashy liner:
These are so long wearing and they apply like a dream. I am absolutely loving the flashy taupe one.

Yet another project pan update
Wow I have really mixed feelings about this project pan. I feel like I am using up things way too fast but on the other hand I feel like I have been doing this like forever... I really really "need" to shop soon....
Bioré pore strips 10 pack: I will definately be getting some more of tese pore strips, they really do their job very very well. I normally use these once or twice a week.
Lush bubblegum lip scrub: At first I did not really care for this. I felt a soft toothbrush could do the same job. An it probably can, but this really grew on me and sadly I am all out of lip scrubs now. I would repurchase.
Lush honey trap lip balm: The worst balm ever, it was grainy in texture, it irritated my lips and I did not like the scent. So I have been using it on my dry elbows just to use it up. Will not repurchase this one.
L'oreal Extra Volume Collagene mascara: I really really enjoyed using this mascara. It reminded me a bit of Too Faced lash injection without the flakeyness. Sadly I will not be repurchasing as I refuse to buy L'oreal products until they become cruelty free, Too bad, this is a really really good mascara.
Sooo that's 22 down 11 to go

Skinnfood Peach Sake pore BB cream review
I got this from Ebay, at the same time as all my other BB creams. I wanted to try a BB cream that I felt had been raved about quite a lot a while back. I decided on this one as I felt it would better suit my needs.
Price: retails on Ebay for about $8,99. Be careful of fakes though. Do your research before buying BB creams from Ebay.
Packaging: Quite different from your regular sqeeze tube BB cream. This comes with a pump, wich is very hygenic and easy to use. It's quite easy getting just the amount of product you need. However I am curious to see how the pump will work once I have used up some more of this. I can see it does create a bit of a vacuum inside the tube the more product you pump out. You get 30ml of product.
Scent: Really lovely scent. Smells sweet and freash and peachy all at the same time. I normally do not want my face products to have too much of a scent, but this is such a pleasant scent.
Promises:
- SPF 20
- pore minimizing
- mattifying
- Oil control
- long lasting
SPF: I am very light and I actually need a higher SPF than 20 for my skin not to get burned. So I still do need to apply some sort of SPF before applying this.
Pore minimizing: Maybe just a little.. Nothing too dramatic but it did cover them slightly making them less noticeable. But I have not seen any long term results or anything like that yet.
Mattifying: It's not completely matte once applied, I do need a little bit of powder over it to set it and make it just a little more matte, but I have extremely oily skin so that may not be the case for some with just a bit of oiliness. Once set with a powder it did have a nice natural matte finish.
Oil Control: I do feel like this BB cream helps control my oil during the day, I do still get a tiny bit oily around the nose but for the most parts my skin stays nice and normal, not greasy but not dried out either.
Long lasting: It actually does have quite a good wear time. Probably because it stays matte and does not glide off my face. I would say it's above average but not one of those super long 16-24 hour foundation types. But quite a good while for a lightweight foundation.
Colour and application: The colour (shade 01) is a little darker than what I am used to from an asian BB cream. It actually looks quite peachy when swatches. But it blends quite well and somehow manages to adapt to my skin tone, so it does not look dark once applied on my face.
It's a little sheer compared to some other asian BB cream I have tried, however it does a nice job at evening out the skin tone and does cover redness a bit. It is very easy to apply, I just use my fingers and it works really well like that. Just be carefull not to get it in your brows and be carefull if you have dry patches on your face. I feel it tends to cling a little too much to the dry patches. However, if you exfoliate regularly this BB should not cause you any grief.
This is a good BB cream, easy to use and does what it claims to do, so why is it only good and not completely amazing? well, I would have liked a little more coverage, and a higher SPF.
Overall I am pleased with this BB cream, I am not sure I would repurchase, as I find there are BB's out there that does the same but has more coverage. However I will have no problem using this as my everyday BB cream.

Recent rediscovery ELF golden bronzer
This bronzer was a favorite of mine last summer. But somehow I forgot about it when I started using matte bronzers. You can read my old review of it here.
The reason why I fell back in love with this product is because it is so versatile.
1. I use the lightest shade for highlighting
2. I use all of the shades as eyeshadows
3. I mix the shades together and use it as body bronzer
4. I use the 2nd shade from the top as a blush
5. I use the shades mixed together for a bit of sunkissed glow on the face (very lightly applied)
Even though I used this a lot last year and will continue to use it, there is still soo much product left. Great versatile bang for your buck product.
I will be looking into the cool bronzer as I really like matte bronzers the best. But that will be after my project pan.

Project pan update.
I am having such a hard time not breaking my ban. Especially now that eyeslipsface.co.uk is having a 35% off sale. But I have to stick with it...
I have used up a few more items.
Black head peel off mask:
I did quite like this mask, but I don't think I would repurchase, I find regular pore strips to work better.
Yves Rocher lip balm:
It did a good job but it had a bit of a perfume taste wich I did not like. I would not repurchase this particular lip balm
Yves Rocher moisture mask:
I would probably not repurchase this, it did add moisture but I prefer more creamy products. This was more like a gel.
that's 18 down 15 to go.

Sephora Maniac long wearing lipstick review
I believe I picked this up on my first Sephora haul, and I have been using it quite a lot.
I bought the shade #06
Price: $12 or €10,90
Packaging: A sleek and slim lipstick tube. The quality of the packaging seems really nice and reminds me a bit of a slimmer version of the MAC sheen supreme lipsticks. It does not say how much product you get.
The shade is a lovely peachy pink with golden shimmer, I love these kind of colours so the shade is just right for me. Some may find the shimmer a little too much, but there are also matte colours available in the maniac line.
The lipstick has a sweet sugary and slightly fruity scent to it wich I personally like. I don't think it is too overpowering once it is applied, but it may be something to consider.
This formular is ment to be long wearing and therefore a little on the dry side but it does not dry out my lips at all it just won't apply well if you have dry or patchy lips. So I would suggest a good scrub or some lip balm to prepare the lips.
The staying power of this lippie is quite good, it lasts longer than regular lipsticks, ofcourse it depends on what you eat or drink but I can easily have aglass of water or two without having to reapply.
I really like this lipstick, mostly because of the amazing colour, I certainly will be trying out more of the shades.

Sephora Mango body butter
I bought this when Sephora first opened and I just never got around to using it (wanted to use some of my other bodybuters up first).
Price: I paid 80DKK or about 10€
Packaging: Colourfull plastic tub with 200 ml of body butter. The colour on the tub varies depending on the scent of the product, and matches the other bath and body products in the same scent.
I am totally in love with the scent of this body butter. It smells sweet and fresh at the same time, a real summer fragrance for me. The texture of the body butter is just lovely, thick and creamy, a little goes a long way with this.
It leaves my skin super smooth and hydrated but unfortunately the hydrating feeling does not last as long as I could have wanted it to. I still feel like The Body Shop butters are superior to this butter.
I would recommend this to people with normal skin rather than dry skin.
So the scent is to die for but the hydration is average, this is not a bad product and I certainly will try some of the other scents out, but I am not replacing these with my Body Shop butters any time soon.

Beauty on a budget: Pencil liner tips
You don't have to spend a large amount of money on eyeliner pencils to get a great liner. First you need to think about what you want from your eyeliner pencil, do you want to use it on your waterline? do you want it to glide on without effort? do you want it to be glossy? glittery? or metallic? what colour do you really need? and so on. Once you know what you actually need you can start searching for the perfect liner.
Waterline: If you are looking for an eyeliner to use on your waterline it may be worth looking into wateproof pencil liners. A thing you may want to consider is wether or not you have sensitive eyes, don't go for glitters or too heavy shimmer as it may irritate your eyes.
Glossy liner: In my experience glossy liners tend to smudge and transfer more so keep that in mind when you go looking for a glossy liner.
Easy glide: If you have more mature skin around the eyes you certainly don't want a dry waxy pencil to pull at your sensitive eye skin. Go for a liner that will glide on without effort.
Colour selection: There are tonnes of colours to try out, you need to know what will suit you and what you will actually wear. I have often found myself gravitating to neon liners or metallic pinks because they just looks so darn cute, then I may wear it once or twixce before it end up in a drawer somewhere. What I do to see if a certain colour of liner could work for me is to take an eyeshadow as close to the shade as possible and the apply it as a liner with a tiny thin brush. That normally gives me a good idea wether or not something will look good on me, some of the times I even end up thinking "hey this eyeshadow works just as well as a liner, why do I need a new liner anyways?"
Long wearing: It's actually more resonable to buy a more expensive but super long wearing eye pencil than a cheap one that needs touching up all the time. The longer it wears the less you have to touch up and the less you have to sharpen it and then you won't have to go out and buy a new one as fast.
Try before you buy: most stores have testers and it's always a good idea to pick a few potential eye liner pencil to try before you buy them. Test them on the back of your hand, take notice of how well/badly they apply, how pigmented they are, do they glide on? then leave the swatches on your hand and go home. You can then go home and try and wash your hand or rub on the swatches to see wich one stays on the best. That will give you a good idea of what you are getting before purchasing. You can always go back to the store the next day :)
Recommendations:
I personally really like liners that goes on smoothly and that can be used on my waterline as well as my upper lash line without smudging. I really really do like Urban Decay 24/7 liners but for 19 bucks a pop I am willing to look for alternatives... and so I did.
NYX slide on pencils: retail for about $7 that is a saving of $12! and I find them to be both long wearing and super easy to apply.
Sephora Flashy waterproof pencils: These are truly pigmented, they glide on smoothly and they last really really well on my waterline. They retail for $8 and they are my absolute favorites.
I really hope you found this post informative, and feel free to add product suggestions in the comments :)

NOTW
Sorry for the lack of posts this past week. I have ben crazy busy with work, a summer party and a family get together. So I have not had any time to rest. I just thought I would show you a picture of my nails of the week.
Now I can't take full credit for these nails, I only applied the hot pink polish and my boyfriend had the idea to airbrush some paint on them to make a gradient look. So he got out his airbrush and painted my nails.
I thought it was so funny and cool that my boyfriend actually wanted to do this. This tuesday will be our 2 year "anniversary" I can't wait.

Garnier BB Cream review
I bought this a while back, the shade is 02 light.
At first I liked this, my skin was not that oily at the time because of the wether being colder. My only problem was the shade was too dark. I thought it would suit me better as a summer BB. But I did not think about how oily my skin get's in the summer.
Price: DKK 90,- or wich is about $ 15,- It is pretty much available everywhere in Denmark
Packaging: 50ml beige squeeze tube. Quite standart in my opinion, I have nothing bad to say about but I don't findt it too exciting either.
Scent: Fresh clean scent, like one you would find in a skincare product.
Promises:
- SPF 15
- softens lines
- 24 hour hydration
SPF: This does offer SPF 15 wich may be enough for some, but for my sensitive pale skin I would still need additional protection with this BB cream.
Softens lines: Now here is where I actually find it to be somewhat good. Compared to many other foundations, this will not make the appearance of fine lines more obvious. Some foundations can make mature skin look even older, but I find this to be great for mature skin. My mother has never liked foundation because of this, but she uses this BB cream and it does not make her lines stand out, and because of the hydration it does help minimize the appearance of some fine lines.
24 hour hydration: I don't think anyone should wear something like this for 24 hours, but yeah it definately is moisturizing, way too moisturizing for someone like me with oily skin. The BB works really great for mature skin that needs the extra moisture, but I would not use this unless I had really dry skin.
Colour and application: The shade 02 Light is quite dark for my NC 15 skin. It is easy to apply and it goes on quite sheer, I am tempted to slap on a bunch of this stuff just to get a bit of coverage, but it would only turn me into even more of a grease ball. It does seem to even out the skintone a little and
I think this had been marketed all wrong. I feel like this is more of a tinted moisturizer than an actual BB cream. It's way too sheer compared to Asian BB creams and it is also totally dewey to the point of greasynesss. This is marketed for young people up to like 30-35 years, wich I find odd seing how well it works on my mothers mature skin and how bad it is for my oily skin.
I would not repurchase this and I only recommend this to someone of they want moisture, the sheerest possible cover and not much more. If you have dry skin that doesn't need a lot of coverage then this may be good for you. But if you have normal to oily skin or if you are looking for coverage then I would not recommend this.

Smashbox gloss & go lip kit show off
This will not be a full review with swatches, I will do that for you guys at another time. I just wanted to show you what my mommy dearest bought for me a few weeks ago on the way home from her trip to Greece.
I was sooo happy to finally try some more Smashbox products, and I really really am liking these cute little glosses.
I have not tried them all yet but I have been loving the 2 shades in the middle quite a lot.

Project pan update
Wow it's still going really fast with using up products, I am halfway done now. Although I do have to use up 3 extra products as a "punishment" for breaking the makeup ban.
I may have to make this a little more challenging if I keep using up things this fast.
I used up my Mata luxury hair mask, I already have a backup and it's one of my favorite hair masks.
Matas luxury body scrub: great bodyscrub, very affordable but I think I'm more into Body Shop scrubs.
I also used up my ELF liquid lipstick in perfect pink, it was a great spring colour and I will be repurchasing this, but I have way too much lipgloss at the moment.
NYX megashine lip gloss: I can't believe I used this one up! I have been using it every single day for the last few months, I love the scent. I will not be repurchasing this particular shade, but I will be trying new ones.
Yves Rocher ovale lifting eye cream: I have had this for almost a year now. It moisturizes very well but I don't feel like it's worth the 50 dollar price tag. I will not be repurchasing this as I don't need extreme anti wrinkle care just yet, a little moisture is enough for me at the moment.
Nutriganics drops of youth: I have enjoyed using this a lot. It has lasted me 5 months wich I think is pretty great. I will be repurchasing this again after the project pan is over.
Matas silk protein conditioner: this did not do anything for me, I will not be repurchasing this.
So that's 15 down 18 to go.

How to find a BB cream to fit your skintone
Phew I guess I am just one of those lucky ones that seems to be able to colour match every single BB cream I buy. This is probably mostly because the asian BB creams tend to be quite pale and I am quite pale. I am about NC15 but a little more red and pale in the winter than NC15.
BB creams tend to only come in 1-2 shades depending on the brand, I normally go for the lightest shade but if you are NC 20-25 you could try the darker shades.
Here is what I would suggest you guys try if you are looking for a BB cream but unsure of the colour match.
If you find your skin too dark for BB cream but still want to use a BB cream for it's oil control, anti age properties or whatever the BB promises, you can mix it with a foundation slightly darker than your skin to create your own true match. I would go for a liquid mineral foundation or something beneficial for your skin or else it would kinda defeat the purpose of the BB cream.
If you are lucky enough to have a store near you that sell BB creams then ask for a sample. Most stores will gladly give samples for you to try. Be insisting and bring your own little sample jar so they have no excuse for not giving you a sample.
So I guess the key to a good match is sampling sampling and sampling... Fortunately Ebay is loaded with lesss than $1 samples of almost every popular asian BB cream imaginable. So get browsing and get gorgeous my lovelies!

- Get samples from Ebay, one sample is enough for your whole face and they are dirt cheap!
- try a BB with flexi tone technology, meaning one that adapts to most skin tones like DR. Brandt or The Body Shop BB cream that will be released late august.

Skin79 Pink super+ BB cream
I got 10 sample baggies (about 1½ application in each
bag) off Ebay so I could put this BB to the test.
Price: Full size retails on Ebay for about $15. Be careful of fakes though. Do your research before buying BB creams from Ebay.
Packaging: I just got 10 sample baggies but the full size product comes in a lovely hot pink pump dispenser and contains about 40 grams of product (not sure why they list grams and not ml, but oh well) The full size packaging looks really girly and quite elegant in a young fresh way.
Scent: The scent does not bother me, it's pleasant and not too overpowering. But I do prefer a minimum of scent to my face makeup.
Promises:
- SPF 25
- Whitening
- Antiwrikle care
- Oil control
- multi fuctional all in one product
SPF: I recently had my skin tested, turns out I need an SPF 50 for my pale skin. So this would actually not be enough for me. Although I think that SPF 25 is quite nice compared to so many products that has no SPF in them.
Whitening: I have not tested the product long enough to see if it actually whitens, I have to admit I hope it doesn't. I would like to get a little tan this summer. It does seem to brighten the face and get rid of redness and I quite like that.
Anti wrinkle care:
I guess calling something anti wrinkle really helps to sell the product. I have no idea if this will improve any fine lines or anything like that, what I do know is that the sun protection will help you avoid premature aging caused by sun damages. So I am a little "bleh" about the anti wrinkle phrase that every product seems to use these days.
Oil Control: I would have to say that this is one of the only BB creams I have tried that actually keeps it's promise of oil control. Granted I did get a bit shiny around my nose around lunch time, but it's impossible for me not to get oily this time of year. My forehead, chin and cheeks did not get greasy at all. It did not make me look totally matte, but a natural radiant matte without any oily shine.
My pored stayed pretty much hidden througout the day. Some products tend to make my pores look ginormous as they wear off. This did not.
Multi fuctional all in one product:
I would have to say it's a pretty great all in one product. I did not need moisturizer or primer under it. I actually skipped the concealer as well. It offers sun protection, oil control and good for you ingredients. So I would say it lives up to it's claims of being a multi purpose product.
Colour and application: Great colour match for my NC15. It is not one of the most full coverage BB creams I have used but it can be built up quite nicely without looking cakey or fake. It manages to even out my redness and my undereye darkness without looking unnatural. It was quite easy to apply and blend with my fingers. The consistency is on the thicker side of BB creams, but I like that.
This is quite a nice BB cream, I love how it applies and I really am pleased with the oil control of this BB. I would recommend this to anyone looking for an easy to apply makeup that will cover and even out without looking cakey and heavy. Good for normal to oily skin.
Overall I am very happy with this BB cream, I certainly would consider buying this again. Compared to other BB creams I think this performs about as well as the more high end BB's out there. Certainly worth $15.

Price: Full size retails on Ebay for about $15. Be careful of fakes though. Do your research before buying BB creams from Ebay.

Scent: I am not crazy about the scent of this BB. It smells kinda floral and fresh but reminds me of a fragrance for men. So it's not that the smell is awfull just not very feminine and I don't really need scents in my face makeup.
Promises:
- SPF 50 UVA/UVB
- 5 vitamin complex A C E and F
- plant based eco ingredients
- Matte finish
- Oil control
SPF: I know that SPF 50 may seem a lot to some of you but I have had my skin "tested" at dermatologist and turns out I actually need SPF 50 or higher. So this is great for people who burn easily in the sun. I do tend to apply a bit of sun protection under it, just in case it melts of during the day.
Vitamins: I do like that it contains Vitamin ACE and F and no it's not a typo, it says in the ads that it contains 5 vitamins but they only listed 4 so I guess the last vitamin must be a mysterious one. I have not used this long enough to actually see if this will make a difference in my skins all over appearance.
Oil Control: It promises a matte finish but on my oily skin it does not quite live up to it. I get a satin finish at the most. It does not look oily when first applied but after 4 hours I will be super oily around my nose even when set with a powder. Actually I find this BB cream makes me more oily and faster than my normal foundations. At first it seemed to minimize my pores nicely but later on in the afternoon my pores were huge! not a good look.
Colour and application: The colour of this BB cream matches my skintone (NC15) perfectly, it does go on a little grey but it blends to match my skin quite well. I apply the BB cream with my fingers, and I find it very easy to blend. It gives me a great medium coverage that is totally buildable. Just don't go overboard with it, just a little too much and it will look bad.
This BB cream does transfer a bit and staying power is good but not great. If I did not get so oily I do think it would stay on quite well throughout the day. But with all the blotting I need to do, the BB does wear off in certain areas of my face.
Overall I actually quite like the finish and the look of it when first applied. I am not impressed with the claims of oil control, not at all. And even though this product is supposed to be for oily skin I would say it's better for normal/dry skin. And yes I have tried wearing it with and without a primer and without day cream.I think it would be better for me in the winter time, even though SPF 50 may be a little crazy for winter lol.
I would not repurchase, simply because there are other BB creams that suits my needs better than this.
