Maybelline Colorsensational Rebel bloom lipstick

I'm not normally a pink lipstick kinda girl, but when I saw this delicate neutral pink shade I knew I had to give it a try. This is the color "blushing bud" from Maybellines rebel Bloom Collection.

Price: I payed about $7 not including shipping. But it's a bit cheaper in American drugstores.

Packaging: Similar to all other Maybelline colorsensational lipsticks, but with a pretty purpley pink packaging.

Let me just start by saying that this color is absolutely gorgeous. You do need to exfoliate your lips before applying it, as it will stick to dry patches. But it's the closest I have been to a baby pink color that actually suits me. It's not quite a pale pink and it has neutral undertones. Wich makes it the most wearable pink shade I have ever tried. I normally look really sick, when I try to Wear light pinks.

I'm not a fan of the scent or the perfumey taste though. I haven't really noticed that with my other maybelline lipsticks, but it's quite obvious with this one, it tastes like perfume. The scent is almost like the regular Maybelline lipstick scent, but with a hint of plastic. It's not enough to deter me from using this lipstick, but it's worth keeping in mind, if you are sensitive to scent or taste.

The lipstick feels creamy and has a pretty sheen on the lips. It's definately not a long wearing lipstick at all. But I like to pair it with a darker nude lip liner to add dimension to the color, and make it last longer. Overall I'm pretty pleased with the color, but the formula is just average to me. I'm super happy to finally have found a pink that suits me. But I don't think I will be getting any of the other colors from the Collection, as they all look way to bright and pastelle-like for me.

Sorry for the makeup-less face I just woke up and the lighting was perfect for once.

What's you favorite Maybelline lipstick color? and what type of color can you just NOT pull of, no matter how hard you try?
